Rough Trade Books Tour The Country…

unnamed

Rough Trade Books are taking their second series of pamphlets around the UK with them this autumn, including another evening at The Social on the 8th of October.

“Brand new and original (and beautifully produced) works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, comics, illustrations, photography and interviews — ROUGH TRADE EDITIONS will tell the stories of why counter-culture matters, has mattered and will matter.”

Having just brought Richard King and Thomas Morris to the Caught by the River stage at The Good Life Experience in Hawarden, Wales, the next stop for the gang is Rough Trade Bristol for a night of poetry and short fiction on Wednesday, the 19th of September.

Following on from there they’ll be making their presence known at Kenilworth Arts Festival, taking place on Saturday the 22nd of September, Rough Trade East on the 3rd of October, and Bound Art Book Fair in Manchester on October 12th.

Amidst all that they’ll be having a proper knees-up at our favourite local establishment, The Social, following on from their fantastic launch for the first series there back in July.

This time around they’ll have a bumper line-up including Robert Barry on music and technology, Laura Lewis discussing her photographs of Japanese Love Hotels with the writer Lucy Bourton (It’s Nice That), the legendary James Endeacott sharing his tall tales with music journalist Paul Stokes and the wonderful Joe Dunthorne reading from his pamphlet published in their first series. They’ll also have Ana da Silva of The Raincoats performing live and our very own Token Girl DJs providing the musical back-drop. A night not to be missed.

Tickets available here.
