✹ Rough Trade Books Celebrates International Women’s Day ✹

This year Rough Trade Books are hosting a special event for ‘International Women’s Day‘ at Rough Trade East. Taking place on Friday 8th March, Rough Trade Books are proudly presenting an evening of live music, poetry, conversation and readings.

“Emma Warren will be in conversation with both Charlotte Newman and Ana da Silva discussing how OCD exerts influence on all aspects of life, touching on Charlotte’s pamphlet Counter Reform and the artistic process in printmaking and music with Ana da Silva centred around her pamphlet Love, oh love. Martha Sprackland will be reading the whip-smart new poems from her pamphlet Milk Tooth and Salena Godden will bring forth the fire of resistance and rebellion from her pamphlet Pessimism is for Lightweights. Ana da Silva will also be performing a live set featuring music from her latest collaborative album with Japanese musician Phew entitled Island.”

It’s Free Entry and a true celebration of women literary figures from the recently established publishing of arm of Rough Trade Records.

On the night, the Red Box Project will be their on arrival, accepting donations of menstrual products which get donated to local schools, enabling young woman who may struggle to access them otherwise. Read more about the project here.
