September at The Social

With the Save The Social campaign fully funded and finished, our favourite bar and venue in London is back in full swing this month with a cracking programme of gigs, club nights and more.

🍺 Here are some highlights 🍺

TONIGHT – Dayjob:

The Social have invited some of their soho neighbours to get behind the decks and takeover for the best after work drinks in town. DJs include Will Lister (Oi Polloi), Davi & James (End/Carhartt) and Mike Smaczylo (Phonica).

MONDAY 9th – OCD Soundsystem

The final instalment of our pal Harvey Brook’s esoteric music quiz, set to test even the nerdiest music brains amongst you to the absolute limit. Trust us, it’s HARD. But also lots of fun! 🎁 Plenty of prizes up for grabs 🎁

TUESDAY 10th – Huw Stephens Presents…

The BBC Radio 1 / 6 Music DJ invites some of his favourite new bands to the basement once again, this time being Orchards and Joey Maxwell.

FRIDAY 13th – STITCHED with USHIO (Bo Ningen)

This months edition of Stitched invites members of Bo Ningen’s USHIO project to perform live, with DJ sets from Hiro (Teleman) and Jordan Cook (Telegram)

So Young Presents: Sad Club Records

So Young Magazine teams up with DIY tape label Sad Club Records to present three of their artists, L.A. Peach, John Myrtle and Bugs 🐜🐞

The Quietus Social: Alexander Tucker live

The Grumbling Fur member performs music from his excellent new LP Guild Of The Asbestos Weaver, with support from Gentle Stranger, Karl D’Silva + Paper Dollhouse DJs. The night will also open with a full playback of David Bowie’s classic Low album, as selected by Mr Tucker.

See you down the basement!
